The TNPSC Group I Examination is conducted to recruit candidates for top administrative and police services in the Tamil Nadu Government such as Deputy Collector and Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP). This exam is ideal for aspirants aiming for leadership and policy-making roles.
Educational Qualification:
A graduate degree from a university incorporated by a Central or State Act,
an institution created by an Act of Parliament, or a deemed university under
Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956.
Physical Requirements:
Physical standards are applicable for posts such as
Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) and
District Officer (Fire and Rescue Services).
Age Limit & Relaxation:
• Differently-abled candidates – Up to 10 years relaxation
• Ex-Servicemen (Open Category) – Up to 48 years
• Ex-Servicemen (SC / ST / MBC / BC) – Up to 53 years
Final-year students can apply for Prelims but must submit proof before Mains.
