Exam Types

Here are some of the major SSC Exams every aspirant should know before beginning their journey.

Exam Name Details
SSC CGL Combined Graduate Level – for graduates, recruits for various important posts under Group B & C.
SSC CHSL Combined Higher Secondary Level – for 10+2 level, posts like LDC, DEO, Postal Assistants, etc.
SSC MTS Multi-Tasking Staff – for 10th pass, non-technical duties across departments.
SSC GD General Duty Constable – for CAPFs, CISF, etc.
SSC Stenographer For 12th pass with typing test, Grade C & D stenographer roles.

Eligibility & Basic Conditions

Criteria Details
Age Limit Age varies per exam. Generally, minimum 18 years and maximum 27–30 years depending on post.
Educational Qualification 12th Pass for CHSL/Stenographer; Graduate for CGL and other higher-level exams.
Nationality Must be an Indian citizen. Candidates from Nepal, Bhutan, or Tibetan refugees may also be eligible as per SSC rules.
