Artificial Intelligence: India holds 10th Rank
- India ranks 10th globally with private investment of Rs 11,900 crore in AI technology, according to a UN report.
- The US is at the top with private investment of Rs 5.7 lakh crore in AI.
- India ranks 36th out of 170 countries in the Readiness Index for modern technologies like AI.
- In 2022, it was 48th in this index.
- India ranks 99th in the information and telecommunications sector, 113th in the skills-based classification, 3rd in research and development, 10th in industrial capacity, and 70th in finance.
- The US and China have more cloud infrastructure services than any other country in the world.
- India has expertise in nanotechnology, Germany in wind power, Japan in electric vehicles, and South Korea in 5G technology.
INS Sunayna Ship:
- The Indian Navy’s deep sea patrol ship INS Sunayna is set to sail from Karwar under the Indian Ocean Ship – Sagar initiative.
- The ship, which will be manned by 44 sailors from nine friendly countries, was flagged off by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh from Karwar.
- The operation marks a significant step in strengthening India’s commitment to regional maritime security and international cooperation.
