  1. Mauritius National Day will be celebrated on March 12, with Prime Minister Modi as the chief guest.
  2. Mauritius Prime Minister Navin Ramgoolam.
  3. Manmohan Singh, who was the country’s first Sikh Prime Minister and architect of economic reforms until 2014, will have a memorial at the Rashtriya Smriti Sthal in Delhi.
  4. India and Ireland have agreed to set up a Joint Economic Commission to enhance bilateral trade relations.
  5. Chief Minister M.K. Stalin laid the foundation stone for a dedicated centre for research and development in Sholinganallur, Chennai.
  6. Vimala, who translated Nalini Jameela’s Malayalam autobiography ‘Ente Aanungal’ into Tamil as ‘Enathu aankal’, was adjudged the best Tamil translation.
