US-India Business Council:

  • The US-India Business Council (USIBC) has said that non-tariff barriers and unnecessary regulations that hinder free trade should be removed.
  • The US-India Business Council (USIBC) represents the best global companies operating across the US and India.
  • It builds connections between businesses and governments in both countries.
  • It has offices in India with headquarters in Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Washington DC.

Gold in Pakistan’s Indus River:

  • Gold deposits have been found in the Indus River in Pakistan.
  • The value of the gold deposits in it is estimated to be around Rs. 80,000 crore.
  • The Indus River originates from the Himalayas in India.
  • It is said that the Indus River, which flows through the rocks of the Himalayas for millions of years, may have eroded and washed away the gold particles.

India’s first riverine dolphin census:

  • The ministry said that Uttar Pradesh has recorded the highest number, followed by Bihar, West Bengal and Assam.
  • In India, the Gangetic river dolphins live in the Ganges-Brahmaputra-Meghna river system and its tributaries.
  • While a small number of Indus river dolphins live in the Indus river system.
