Gaganyaan Engine Testing at Kavalkinaru ISRO:

  • At Kavalkinaru, Tirunelveli district, ISRO has tested a cryogenic engine that can be fitted in the gaganyaan rocket to send humans into space.
  • The central government’s space research organization ISRO has been creating records by sending various satellites into space.
  • The mission of the Gaganyaan spacecraft is to send humans into low Earth orbit and bring them back safely to Earth.
  • The spacecraft is designed to carry three people.
  • This spacecraft of the Indian Space Research Center G. S. L. Will be launched by V Mark III.
  • The test flight of the spacecraft, manufactured by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, took place on December 18, 2014.

Vazhndhu Kattuvom Project:

  • The Tamil Nadu Rural Innovation Project, Vazhndhu Kattuvom, with World Bank support, will sustainably improve rural communities through rural enterprise development, access to finance and job creation in selected areas of Tamil Nadu.
  • Therefore, it is an innovative project with the primary vision of transforming rural areas by using improved techniques (methods) that go beyond poverty alleviation through wealth creation.
  • It is implemented with the aim of making the lives of people living in rural areas sustainable and making their lives brighter by creating women-centric enterprises.

 

Ennum Ezhuthum Scheme:

  • Principal M.K.Stalin started the program of learning counting and writing for classes 1-3 in government schools at Alinjivakkam Panchayat Union Middle School, Tiruvallur.
  • The Numeracy and Literacy program aims to have students acquire basic literacy and numeracy skills by 2025.
  • Based on the various researches conducted so far in education, the program aims to integrate scientific attitude and social skills in language teaching based on the students’ learning level (level based).

Vidiyal Payanam Scheme:

  • According to Vidiyal Payanam Scheme, from June 2021, all women, transgenders and persons with disabilities will travel free of charge in government city buses.
  • The Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu has changed the name of the free bus travel scheme for women to ‘Vidiyal Payanam’
