Some important points for Educational Qualification :

Candidates with educational qualification of BE/B.Tech (Computer Science) or BE/B.Tech (Information Technology), applying for both the posts of JE(S & T Department) and JE (IT), have to opt for either Electronics and Allied Engineering Exam Group or Computer Science and Information Technology Exam Group.

Candidates with educational qualifications not figuring in the chart and eligible for DMS posts have to choose any one of the listed Exam Groups other than CMA Exam Group, during the registration for online applications of this CEN.

A candidate possessing more than one minimum educational qualification, mapped to different Exam Groups, can choose any one Exam Group. These candidates would be eligible for all the posts for which they possess minimum educational qualifications.

Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant : Bachelors Degree in Science with Physics and Chemistry with minimum 45% marks

 

Scale of Pay :

For Junior Engineer (JE), Junior Engineer (Information Technology) [JE(IT)], Depot Material Superintendant (DMS) and Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant (CMA):-Level 06 (RSRP 7th CPC Pay Matrix.) with initial pay of ₹35,400/-, plus other allowances admissible at that time.

RRB JE Cutoff 2019 For CBT 1: Category Wise & Region-wise Qualifying Marks for Stage 1 :

The RRB JE Cutoff score of CBT 1 is scheduled to declare by August 20, 2019 (tentatively). The RRB JE Cut off 2019 for CBT 1 will be calculated out of total marks 100. As per the RRB JE Cutoff score 2019 for CBT 1 the minimum marks to qualify the exam for various categories: UR-40%, OBC-30%, SC-30%, ST -25%. The percentage of marks for eligibility may be relaxed by 2% for PwBD candidates in case of shortage against vacancies reserved for them. RRB JE Cutoff 2019 for CBT 2 – Category Wise Qualifying Marks for RRB JE Stage 2:

The cutoff score of RRB JE CBT 2 will be declared by September 2019. Based on the cutoff score candidates will be selected for Document Verification and Medical fitness. The RRB JE Cutoff score of CBT 2 will be calculated out of total 150 marks in general category candidates must secure 40%, OBC and SC 30% and ST 25% to qualify the exam. The qualified candidates will be called for document verification as per their rank in the merit list. The table below shows category wise RRB JE Cutoff score of CBT 2.

Important points :

Candidates can apply to only one RRB.

Application to more than one RRB, will lead to rejection of all the applications.

Any attempt to submit more than one application by a candidate against this CEN shall result in disqualification and debarment.

If candidates are eligible for more than one level of 7th CPC posts, then he can apply for those posts.

The candidates are required to indicate their Post-wise and Railway/Production Unit (PU) wise preferences very carefully.

  • Separate 2nd Stage CBT shall be taken for each of the 7th CPC Level i.e. Level 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 with graded difficulty level.
  • All posts falling within same level of 7th CPC shall have a common 2nd stage CBT (as mentioned in the above table).
  • The exam duration for PWD candidates is 120 Minutes.
  • Negative marking of 1/3 is there.
  • The level of questions will be different for different level of posts.
  • Normalization of marks will be done.

 

RRB NTPC Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT) :

(Only for candidates who have opted for Traffic Assistant and Station Master)

  • Qualifying marks : The candidates need to secure a minimum T-Score of 42 marks in each of the test batteries to qualify.
  • This is applicable to all candidates irrespective of community or category and no relaxation in the minimum T- Score is permissible.
  • Candidates will have to qualify in each of the test batteries of CBAT for considering them for the post of SM/TA.
  • The CBAT shall have questions and answer options only in English and Hindi.
  • There shall be no negative marking in CBAT.
  • Merit list will be drawn only from amongst the candidates qualifying in the CBAT, with 70% weightage for the marks obtained in the 2nd Stage CBT and 30% weightage for the marks obtained in CBAT.

 

Typing Skill Test (TST) :

  • Qualifying in nature
  • Eight times the number of vacancies will be called for typing test.
  • The candidates should be able to type 30 words per minute (WPM) in English or 25 WPM in Hindi on Personal Computer only without editing tools and spell check facility.

 

Document Verification (DV)

Based on the performance of candidates in 2nd Stage CBT and based on the performance of candidates in both 2nd Stage CBT and CBAT/TST (as applicable), candidates equal to the number of vacancies will be called for Document Verification as per their merit and options.
