‘Stand Up India’ Scheme:
- The ‘Stand Up India’ scheme is to be implemented with the aim of providing innovation and entrepreneurship training to 6 lakh students studying in 2,000 educational institutions in Tamil Nadu.
Kalaignar Craft Scheme:
- Chief Minister M.K. Stalin will launch the Kalaignar Craft Scheme on April 18 in Kundrathur, Chennai.
- As the Vishwakarma scheme introduced by the central government for artisans prevents students from pursuing higher education and promotes clan trades, the Chief Minister announced a new scheme called Kalaignar Craft Scheme that includes all artisans without social discrimination.
- While the minimum age limit in the central government scheme is 18, in our scheme, the age limit has been set at 35 years so as not to affect the higher education of the youth.
- While in the Vishwakarma scheme, loans are provided without investment subsidy for 18 types of handicrafts, in our scheme, loans are provided with 25 percent investment subsidy for 25 types of industries.
- While the Central Government scheme provides loans in two installments, our scheme provides loans in a single installment.
- This scheme will be launched by the Chief Minister on the 18th at Kundrathur in Kanchipuram district.
