President’s Rule in Manipur:
- The Lok Sabha passed a constitutional resolution confirming the imposition of President’s Rule in Manipur.
- In the north-eastern state of Manipur, major riots broke out in 2023 between the Maithili community and the Kuki tribe.
- Since then, the conflict between the two groups has continued.
- On February 13, the Legislative Assembly was suspended and President’s Rule was imposed.

Coastal Shipping Bill: Passed in Lok Sabha
- The Coastal Shipping Bill 2024 was passed in the Lok Sabha.
