India-Malaysia to co-host regional counter-terrorism conference:
- The Expert Working Group on Counter-Terrorism, a meeting of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and its 8 observer member states, is set to begin in Delhi.
- The conference, which is being co-hosted by India along with Malaysia, will be attended by ASEAN member states Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
- The observer members of the organization, India, China, Australia, Japan, New Zealand, South Korea, Russia and the United States, are expected to participate.
- This is the first time that India is co-hosting the Expert Working Group on Counter-Terrorism conference.
