Integrated Life Support system tested in Tejas fighter jet:
- The Integrated Life Support system for pilots, developed using indigenous technology, was successfully tested at an altitude of 50,000 feet in the ‘Tejas’ light fighter jet.
- The integrated life-support system has been designed to produce oxygen on the fly, instead of relying on the old cylinder-based oxygen for pilots to breathe while flying in fighter jets.
- This system, based on the ‘On-Board Oxygen Generating System’, generates the oxygen required for pilots to breathe and has the ability to regulate it.
