List of Best Schools in the World:

  • In the world’s best schools ranking in 2024, three schools have been placed after the states of Tamil Nadu, Delhi and Madhya Pradesh.
  • London-based ‘T4’ education agency has announced this recognition for the best school.
  • Every year, T4 publishes a ranking list to identify schools that follow the best contribution and innovative teaching methods in the world.
  • The 3 schools featured are Kalvi International Public School in Madurai, Tamil Nadu, Ryan International School in Delhi and CM RISE School Vinoba in Ratlam, Madhya Pradesh.
  • CM RISE Vinoba School, started with the aim of empowering tribal girls to acquire formal education, has been recognized as a school of excellence for its innovative practices such as integrated curriculum with sports and festivals.
  • Delhi’s Ryan School is recognized as a school of excellence for its practices in tackling water scarcity and pollution through innovative projects such as hydroponics (aquatic farming) and biogas plants.
  • Colegio María de Guadalupe School in Argentina won the World’s Best School for Social Cooperation award.

European Union (EU):

  • India has imposed a condition to the European Union that dairy products are not allowed in free trade.

  • The organization was established in 1992 following the Treaty on European Union (also known as the Maastricht Treaty).
  • The European Union was formed in 1993.
  • It is headquartered in Brussels, Belgium.
  • Originally confined to Western Europe, the European Union underwent strong expansion into Central and Eastern Europe at the beginning of the 21st century.

Withdrawal of troops from India-China Border Force:

  • India and China have begun the process of withdrawing troops from the disputed areas of Demchok and Depsang plains along the eastern Ladakh border.
  • The agreement was signed to end the more than 4-year-old standoff over patrolling and troop withdrawal along the LoC in eastern Ladakh.
  • India shares a 3,488 km border with China.
  • This border passes through Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh.
  • The boundary line between India and China is named after Sir Henry McMahon.
  • The Sino-Indian War of 1962 was particularly fierce in Ladakh and Arunachal Pradesh.
  • The Line of Actual Control between India and China was drawn in 1996 to end the border dispute.
